The kids are ALWAYS headed outside.  I LOVE IT. 

Usually Landon comes in SOAKED from head to toe and freezing from running through the sprinkler with his clothes on, then begs for a warm bath! They love the swingset, their bikes, but mostly THE ROCKS and the DIRT!!

The other day I went to go check on them.  I hadn't heard them running around and screaming for a bit.  I walked out the front door and BOTH of them were walking along the highway! AHH!! (They were safe and closer to where the fence used to be..so really probably 4 feet away from the edge of the road, but I didn't trust them there alone, mostly Landon.) But, they were just taking Madilyn's baby for a walk.  (I didn't dare go run for the camera till they were safe in the dirt patch.) But it must have been a funny scene to any cars that drove by considering her atire!!

 Landon LOVES watching the semis, trucks, and tractors in the yard.  If he's inside and hears one go by he's either out the door or in a window watching for it.  This stump is his favortie spot to sit and watch them fill up with dissel!

Madilyn got a hair CUT

Last Sunday I sent Madilyn to go brush her teeth.  She came back 5 minutes later looking like THIS:





I tried working the brush out for 45 minutes before she talked me into cutting it out!  I REALLY REALLY didn't want to.  But she reassured me it would grow back!!

Look how LONG it is.  It may not be thick lush and gorgous, but we have fun with it!

It actually blended in half way decent. But we couldn't do anything with it but leave it staight down. (Her dream come true!) But its too thin and gets straggly way too fast.  By Thursday I was done.  We went to Kim and she fixed it for us!

Silly Kids!!

Madilyn is constatly being SILLY!  If I'm in a bad mood (or trying to discipline) she does things JUST to make me laugh.  The other day she never came in from the car.  I went to see what she was doing.  I found her ON TOP OF THE CAR!!  All I said was What are you doing?!?  It wasn't the reaction she was hoping for.  Her response was "I thought  you would laugh!" It was pretty funny and I had to try not to laugh, but somethings just aren't okay!!

Landon was trying to get Madilyn with the hose.  She kinked it on him!  Everytime she did he'd look inside to figure out what was wrong she would let out the kink so it would spray HIM in the face! 

Not like her dad? I think NOT!!

 Madilyn thought she was silly for wearing Landon's PJ's.  Then she was restless and couldn't get to sleep.  So she turned them around and put them on upside down!

The Living Planet Aquarium

We went the the Aquarium the last day we were in Utah.  I think the kids favorite part was watching the jellyfish!  Mine was eating at Chick-fil-a for lunch afterwards!!  Mmm!!  I'd say Idaho needs to jump on the bandwagon and get one, but since we are "leaving"... North Dakota better have one!!

We saw penguins and an octopus.  Sharks and Stingrays.  Madilyn says her favorite was the sharks.  She tried to pet the stingray but the water was too deep!  She was up to her armpit and STILL couldn't reach it!  However one came up and tried to kiss Landon!  It caught us all by surprise!!

West Jordan Rodeo and 4th of July Parade!

My baby sister Dianna came to spend a few weeks in Utah with my little sister Camille.  So we went to have some fun with them!!  Camille's inlaws live in West Jordan so we did all their Fourth of July festivities!  Starting with the...

Landon wasn't a fan of it and I'm not sure about Madilyn. 

 I think I only saw her for 2 seconds.  She LOVES her aunts and uncle!!

The morning of the 4th we went to the West Jordan Parade with Camille and her inlaws!

Landon got pretty bored by the end.  He had fun playing ring around the rosie with the cones!!

We made our way to the front so we could get some candy....I dont' think it worked!!

The kids all buckled in ready to go check out the fair!!  Madilyn was disapointed we didn't buy tickets for any of the rides!!  And I was pretty disapointed I didn't take my wallet!!  The jewlery booth was everything 2 for $5!! (And it looked like decent stuff!)

Then Phill's parents rented a bouncy house and put a hose inside for all the kids!!

 What fun is it to just slip and slide when Uncle Phil can pull you through?!?

 Wait?  What happened??  Where did it go??

Then my kids disapeared into the playhouse! 

 And we had FOOT RACES for the kids! 

 Madilyn took off before the "GO" the first time, and missed it the second time!!  Oh well..

 She rocked it at the sack races!  She came in 2nd only to a 6 year old!! (She's the one all bunched up in the red shirt.)

 Then time for more water fun!!

and an outdoor movie before the FIREWORKS!!

We missed our usual 4th of July traditions. 

 But we enjoyed it anyway!!

Happy Un-Birthday Ronald!!

This was Ronald's 30th UN-Birthday Party.  He refused to admit that it was his party because one-I planned it and two-it wasn't on his actual birthday.  Surprisingly none of it had to do with him turning 30!! But he didn't waste any time spoiling himself with a new grill and fireworks for the occasion!

It took him a little longer than he expected to put it together!!

We had lots of family and friends come to help celebrate!

TBall and Gymnastics!

Terreton TBALL!

I signed Madilyn up for TBall this year.  I thought she'd have fun getting to know more kids her age and thought it would be a good expereince for her to do something with kids her age.  Well.  She HATES it! Hate is a strong word. But it is the right word.  There are too many boys.  She never gets the ball.  Most of them played last year.  She didn't.  She's clueless out there.  BUT she knows she needs to get the ball.  If she doesn't get it.  She throws herself to the ground and cries. She goes after almost everyone!  When she does finally get it she does a happy dance with the ball before she'll throw it!!

OR...sometimes she just sits in grass waiting for it to be over because she'd rather...

 be playing on the playground like her brother!

EXCEPT when Grandma Jane is there!

I've wanted to get Madilyn in Dance or Gymnastics for a while now.  Before I was babysitting so I couldn't  get her to town for it, and then we "were" moving (still are..)  BUT I gave in and put her in a class in Rexburg.  She LOVES it and does amazing! The coaches are impressed every week with how well she obey's and does each task.  She looks forward to every Monday!  Landon and I are also taking a parent tot class at the same time.  He loves it as well.  He's actually doing pretty good.  After the first day I was afraid it was going to be a joke!  But he gets just as excited about gymnastics days just as much as Madilyn!
