5 Months!

Payden turned 5 months TODAY!
I'm still amazed at HOW good he is!
He plays on the floor all day long...except when he's napping.
(sometimes I feel guilty, like I'm neglecting him but if he's not fussing...I let him be)
He's getting more curious and wants to be able to see what's going on.
He's found his VOICE and its LOUD and squilly (word or no?)
He still wakes up in the night to eat, but has never been one to stay awake.
He still isn't a fan of cereal.
But his newest development: CRAWLING!
Yes. Crawling. Its really more of the inchworm style and just figured it out a couple days ago. But he gets up on all fours and rocks and rocks and rocks.
By his 6 month post, I'm sure he'll be a pro at it!!

Payden is 26 1/2 inches and weighs 19lbs!!

New Traditions...

We had a GREAT 4th of July this year.
I loved spending it with the WHOLE family!!!

We started the day off with the kiddie parade!  Madilyn and Landon went to Jackson's to decorate bikes the day before. Landon was REALLY upset with me because I wouldn't let him ride his trike in the parade.  BUT he only made it 5 feet on the practice run.  I wasn't going to push his bike all they way down main street!!  Madilyn's picture made it into the front page of the newspaper!!  By the time she got to us the crowd of bikes was pretty thin!!

Then we waited and waited for the main parade!  The kids had a great time.  Payden slept most of the parade and the kids finally decided it was OKAY to run out into the street for candy! :) There were TONS of  classic cars in the parade!  LOTS and LOTS of Bel Air's

After the parade we went to the park for lunch and
FREE:
Bouncy Houses
Root Beer Floats
Ice Cream Cones
Sno Cones
Popcorn

It was perfect weather to spend the day at the park!!

Later that day we went back to Jackson's for BBQ and fireworks.

Then we came home and watched the city fireworks from our own house.  It wasn't the best view, but with all the neighborhood fireworks around us too it was like having surround sound and a panaramic view!

I know it wasn't Ron's Menan 4th of July Celebration.
I don't think anything with take the place of that,
But I loved it! I look forward to making it OUR family tradition for the next few years while we're here in Stanley!

Bunch of Crazies!

Ron's new workout!

The end of a long day!

For some reason, the kids think they have to take pictures of Mom...
BUT
they haven't learned that taking pictures of being naughty leaves evidence of 2 things!
1. That you were being naughty
2. That you were playing with Mom's camera!!!

Love me a sleeping baby all snuggled up!

Nothing like a nice Sunday Nap!

Landon is going to be jealous when its these two that end up as best buds!
