IT'S...MUD LAKE FAIR AND RODEO WEEK!!
Fair week always starts off with a Parade...going right by the house!!
The kids fills their buckets almost to the top...the advantage of being the first stop!! This year Grandma Jane and Dustin watched it with us so they could be here and watch Madilyn Mutton Bust at the rodeo!!
Landon didn't want to sit still! He gave Dustin a good run for his money!
..at least that's what Dustin says..looks to me like they're pretty good pal's!!
The STORY: Monday when we were at Smith's, Pam asked Madilyn if she was going to do Mutton Bustin at the rodeo this week. She wasn't sure what it was. SO I asked her if she wanted to ride a sheep?! Her eyes got huge and her mouth wide open. YES! She was excited! She'd remembered seeing the kids do it at the 4th of July rodeo in Utah. She was bouncing off the walls all week!
She couldn't wait for Mutton Busting day!
Once she got there she got nervous fast!

But we talked her up and she was ready to go!!
Getting in the shoot!
Here she is getting a pep talk from dad!!
Its a REALLY good video on the camera! It didn't upoad so great! The end (the crash) fades out, gets dark, and is hard to see. VERY disapointing! I even got the biggest video player hoping it would zoom a little better!
She did AMAZING!! She said she wasn't going to let go and she never did! She would have made her dad proud if he were here! Thank goodness for great friends to help us!!
She cried for a bit and was shaken up by it. (No Doubt!!)
But she was ready to go for the Chicken Chase not long after that!
Thankgoodness she's ONE TOUGH COOKIE!!
We got in the car to come home and she told me how fun it was to ride a sheep!
Can't say she gets that from me!
I would have said, "I never want to step foot next to a sheep again!"

Wow! Madilyn is tougher than me! I'm such a pansy that I didn't even want my kids doing the calf chase at our fair!
I think it's so cute that she was talking to her daddy right before her ride. So cute!
