Happenings at the New House!

(This turned into a MUCH longer word-i-er post than anticipated...the pictures are at the bottom!!)

We've been in OUR new house almost 3 weeks now.

We've (I've) been pretty busy UNpacking, aranging, and re-aranging.

Ron's always at work or at home doing work.
We talk less now than before the move, but I'm okay with that as long as he'll get in bed with me after he falls asleep after watching only 10 minutes of a TV show.
It seriously takes 3-4 nights to get through ONE half hour Television show!
Thank goodness for DVR, we're going to be set when the seasons are over and all thats left are the reruns!!

Its an adjustment to have him home during the day.  I've never been very productive when he's home.  I tend to take advantage of the time and don't want to be busy doing my thing (at least thats MY excuse)!  Now he's home from 10AM-4PM mostly doing paperwork and wrestling with the kids!!.  He wants to move his "office" off my kitchen counter and downstairs, but I'm procrastinating cleaning out the room because I can keep him company while doing my dishes or making the kids lunch.
I'm going to miss that when they finally get the real office ready!!

The kids LOVE Dad being around.
They always listen for him to come home then run and hide from him!
A game of "pool ball" isn't complete without dad chasing them around the pool table!

Mom LOVES that the TV is out of sight out of mind!
They'll spend most the day upstairs PLAYING with each other!  Before the move I think they thought that playing with toys was some sort of cruel punishment!!

This is the their playhouse:

You can't see their feet, but when they dance Madilyn makes them wear their BEST shoes!! (What a GIRL!)

When Landon plays by himself its ALWAYS with his trains!!

Most the time I don't have a clue what Madilyn is doing!!

But here they packed their bags and went to the forrest for a picnic.
(Ya, I don't know whats up with the sleepers eithers...maybe Madilyn told him he was more manly and could fight off the bears better with a some chest hair showing!)
I can't get them to play outside very often.
It makes me sad cause its going to be a LONG winter!!

Like I said, most the time I have NO idea what this little girl is doing!!

But she sure thought mopping the floor was the best thing since sliced bread.  She ALMOST finished the whole floor before she gave up and said it was too hard of work!  We'll see if she'll do it again when its NOT her idea!!

We LOVE being in our own house!  We MISS Idaho like crazy, but we're finally settled enough to figure out a routine!  We made another calendar so Madilyn can keep me on track!  We can start pre-school up again.  We have a library day.  I know a few ladies offer piano lessons and the swimming pool offers swimming lessons (I think year round).  Hopefully it won't be long before we get out and involved and apart of the community and be more than just oil workers.  Its a lot like home...nobody knows where you live until you tell them whose house it was before!

So glad you are getting all settled in. Owning a home is a great feeling isn't it! Looks like the kids are having tons of fun! Cardboard boxes are the best toys ever invented! :)
